Barbara

Insurance Administrator

I like all the detailed, behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating a great smile. Dr. Finnie is detailed-oriented and cares about patient comfort and well-being, as do my teammates. We work hard to keep everyone smiling while changing smiles!

My career started in the mid-70s: I have an RDA license as well as coronal polishing and X-ray certificates. I joined this practice in the 80s and love it here. As the Insurance Administrator, I handle benefits verification, billing, follow-up, and problem-solving.

My family and I live in Highland. My husband Larry, who’s retired from United Parcel Service, and I have a son, Matthew, who works for the USPS. My mom lives with us and I’m involved with her care; we have a dog and cat, too. The guys are sports fans and love golf. I’m a do-it-yourselfer and love crafts, gardening, and interior design.

Front Office Team Member

I like meeting patients and parents and watching beautiful smiles being created. It is a blessing to be part of the changes that take place during treatment. I especially like having returning family members and watching families grow!

I have worked in the field since 1974, have my RDA license, and joined the practice in 1985. In the front office, I answer the phones, schedule appointments, and help patients and parents. When needed I float the back, where I assist in the operatory and pour models in the lab.

I love spending my free time with family and friends, traveling, camping, crafting, reading, and trying new restaurants. My daughter keeps me busy with plays and volunteering at events with the “Disneyvolunteers.” I live on 2.5 acres in the High Desert and love watching the critters: the birds, rabbits, and my dog, Abby.

I enjoy working with patients and seeing the end result of treatment. Those beautiful smiles are the best. We are lucky to work with a great doctor and for a wonderful community!

I’m a Registered Dental Assistant, have worked in the field since 1993, and was fortunate to join this practice in 2000. My days are spent in the clinic, where I assist Dr. Finnie with procedures and provide patient care.

I have loved living and working in the same town for many years. It’s fun to know our patients through the office and town activities! My other “job” is taking care of my boys and home. Shane, my husband of more than 20 years, is a Fire Captain and Dakota, our son, is on the high school football and mountain bike teams.

Orthodontic Assistant

I like getting to know our patients and being part of creating beautiful smiles. Each patient has their own needs and Dr. Finnie designs a treatment plan that works for the individual’s situation. She, and my coworkers, are the best people. We are united to create great smiles!

I am a Registered Dental Assistant and joined the team in 2010, having started in the dental field in 1990. Working in the back, I provide chairside assistance during procedures and offer patient care and education.

My husband and I have been married for over 25 years and recently became empty nesters. We enjoy spending time with our two sons, watching our daughter play college softball, and love going to the beach and being in the sun.

Front Office Team Member

I like getting to know patients and families, making sure everyone feels at home at the office, and seeing new smiles. Our practice feels like a family: we help each other and make every patient our top priority during visits! 

I have been in the field since 1974 and joined this team in 1981. Working in the front office, I answer phones, schedule appointments, accept payments, setup auto-payments, and answer questions regarding patient accounts.

Much of my free time is spent with husband, two kids, and three grandchildren. I especially love boating and the ocean.

Orthodontic Assistant

It is a pleasure to see the changes that happen from the start of treatment to the end and watching each patient’s smile transform right before my eyes. Dr. Finnie does great treatment, our team works really well together, and we all love helping people love their smiles!

I am a Registered Dental Assistant and have my Orthodontic Assistant license, too. I started working in orthodontics in 1990 and am one of the newest members of Dr. Finnie’s team.

Being with my family is my favorite place to be. I’ve been happily married for almost 30 years. We have four wonderful boys, two amazing daughters-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren. We are all very involved in our church, Calvary Chapel. I enjoy singing on the worship team every Sunday and most Wednesdays.
